I thought of a pretty funny advertisement for a divorce attorney. I recently had to saw a couch in half right down the middle to remove it from a room in my house (long story).

I was going to photograph the couch and then add a caption that says "Don't let YOUR assets get split in half in a divorce. Call the law offices of Dewey, Cheatham, & Howe TODAY!"

Well, the point of advertising is to get people aware of your product and I would say that this ad was successful. It does reinforce a stereotype of divorce lawyers though.

From the story:

billboard in Chicago's "Viagra Triangle" area

I'm not sure I want to know what the "Viagra Triangle" is.

I heard on the news this morning that they had to hire extra people to answer the phones and the death threats have started.

There was a stink in my town when one of the divorce law firms started handing out business cards at the register of deeds office to all applicants for a wedding license. Apparently the fact that 1/2 of all marriages end in divorce did not ameliorate the insensitivity of this law firm's clever marketing gimmick!

The whole town turned out to see the erection.
