The microsoft website only offers to download a Media Creation Tool, is there any direct download link of Windows 10?

Is there a problem with using the Media Creation Tool that you are trying to overcome?

I seem to recall using the MCT and then after downloading it I was able to create my own *.iso file.

You may find other *.iso files out there for Win10, but how would you be sure that they are legitimate? Do you have MD5/SHA-1 'checksum' values for the *.iso files that Media Creation Tool creates for reference and comparison?

I don't think so. Regardless, you'll be downloading updates anyhow .

Are you able to download equally large ISO files without issue?

I know that for a while I had a problem with my router setup that would cause a similar issue (aborted downloads of large iso files).

I found a workaround in Firefox to continue the aborted downloads (by the router), but eventually I found and corrected the root cause in the router.

It takes me 23 minutes to download the iso, I have 25 Mpbs internet, certainly far from the fastest these days.
I recall being on a 2400 baud modem years ago, and it took all evening and into the next morning to download a similar iso. I'm happy enough with our current speed.

Media Creation Tool is great when you get a new machine with vendor installed crapware. Getting a clean Windows 10 is worth the effort to wipe and reinstall it.

+1.

Came in handy for me when I bought a used Win 10 Pro computer. I just used Media Creation Tool to do a clean install.

I heard a lot of recommendation about this tool and tried multiple times without any luck. The main issue is the downloaded speed. So I downloaded the ISO from a Mac computer. Which tool is the best for burning ISO to USB?

Here is the top result from google search:

After spending 30-40 hours trying to "fix" one of my Win 10 desktop computers... ( am not savvy enuff to know what I was doing) , I finally sent to Amazon for a refurb Dell w/Win10Pro $93.50 no tax no shipping. Up and running perfectly in 10 minutes.

I used Ubuntu to connect the "bad" computer to recover the files and programs that had been stored there.

Learned one thing... (I think) Basic problem with the dead machine was I accidentally deleted something called a "shadow" file despite a warning.

Though I don't know what I'm talking about, my try to fix seems to have ended with the ISO file being unable to complete.

No idea what I'm talking about, but dumb and happy with the ending.

With the media creation tool, I burned the iso to a DVD and installed from that. True, if you burn to a bootable USB, that would be faster, if you don't end up spinning your wheels trying to get the bootable USB to work.

That aside, for creating bootable USB flashdrives, I like etcher.

You may want to give etcher a shot. If still struggling, remember, nothing wrong with using a DVD instead of USB.
