I have three email addresses and try to keep bills at one, volunteer stuff at another, and fun/hobbies/friends at the third. Good idea, garbage@disposable dot com.

Being a really geeky IT type, I currently own and maintain several domains (currently .com's and .net's). So, I create a new email account for almost anything I sign-up for as well as any new social group (sports teams, high school friends, family, etc.).

When unsolicited email starts showing up, I know the source and stop doing business with them; or, if it is a personal account, I create a new one that I am more cautious about distributing.

I realize this will sound like too much work to many; but, it really isn't too bad for me since I already have all of the infrastructure and IT skills. And, I detest unsolicited email solicitation even more than phone solicitation.

My DSL email account at Yahoo has a way of generating disposable email addresses.
