You people are so mean...

The way I look at this, and without being accused of enjoying schadenfreude, is that if I myself should have to leave this world at a tender young age of 79, I should not regret that I would have to die so soon because of lack of money to get better medical treatment. The Grim Reaper accepts no bribery.

Many rich people do not have the same longevity as some peasants, and I do not believe that the former all indulged in drugs and "hard living".

True, but someone who makes it to 70-79 today has a life expectancy of 87.7: see average life expectancy by current age averages at the bottom of this complicated calculator from the Minnesota State Retirement System: MSRS - Life Expectancy Calculator

So Liz did okay outliving her infant peers, but could have enjoyed another 8 years of health problems.
