Emergency Alert Services

My wife & I are trying to find a good emergency alert service for her 80 yr old mother. (This is the kind of service where one wears a "panic button" to hit if there is an emergency and then the service tries to help out with advice and if necessary notifies a family member or medical service.) She reports heart pain (which so far has tested OK) but we are concerned about her. There are a bunch of such services on the web but I do not know a way to identify which ones are effective.
Any one use one of these services?

Re: Emergency Alert Services

Would suggest you use one that has some local knowledge of where your mother lives (if you can) rather than some 1-800 number that could be halfway across the globe. Often one with local knowledge will be better able to dispatch the appropriate help if a family member cannot be contacted.

Also, check with your local paramedic organization for recommendations and/or your local hospital. They will probably know which ones have the best and fastest service.
