Emily Ann

Emily Ann, our black labrador dog/daughter, passed away yesterday. She was 15 years and 3 months old. She will be greatly missed.

We can't stop crying. We loved her like a child and are profoundly sad. She was a really good dog.

Emily Ann was a lucky dog to live so long and be loved so much. I understand your pain having lost beloved pets myself. Rest in peace Emily Ann.

Sorry for your loss. What a pretty girl. It's probably not much consolation now, but what a long and happy life...

Please accept my deepest sympathy. The loss of a family member is almost always a profoundly sad thing and even more so when it was the most giving individual who placed the least demands on you.

I'm so sorry, Mike. Thanks for sharing Emily Ann's story. I've always thought that real dogs are black labs. I have one cat, sitting on my lap as we speak, haven't been able to keep a dog since I was a child but love seeing other people's dogs. Saw a white lab puppy the other day; that really brightened my day. Bye, Emily Ann.

I'm very sorry......

One way to look at it is your dog lived to be around 100 in human years. That is indeed a blessing. So be thankful for the many years you 2 had together. I know it's tough though.

I hope my golden retriever lives that long.

I'm so sorry. I've enjoyed hearing your stories and seeing the pictures of Emily Ann over the last few years. I remember you telling us about how she would "accidentally" end up in the pond for a swim.

She was a good girl - you did well by her. A good pairing. Sorry Mike, the memories that hurt now will be treasured later..

I am so sorry to hear that. I'm getting all choked up here remembering when LH and I lost our furry "kid", Jake, at age 13, many years ago. We cried our eyes out for a long time.
So cry as much as you want to, and need to.
I just loved that pic you put up of Emily Ann on St Pat's Day. This one with the iris is just beautiful.

We went thru the loss of our much beloved schnauzer Tootie about this time last year. She was also 15 years 3 months. I cried for days. I kept hearing her tags jingle for weeks. And I still talk to her.

Your Emily Ann was beautiful and I am sure she has left you with a life time of good memories. Treasure each and everyone of those during these days of grief.

I'm so sorry. What a beautiful dog. We have good friends who lost a black lab just like yours last year, about the same age. They gireved for quite a while. I even grieved, and it wasn't my dog, but she would always pick up a toy and bring it to me to play with her whenever I visited. As others say, you will always have those good memories, as I have of all the dogs we've owned.

My condolences, I know how much it hurts. We lost our Golden Retriever at age 14 1/2 last October and our Shepherd mix this February at age 15. We still cry but remind ourselves that they got about as old as dogs can get, and I think we gave them a pretty good life. And the pain now is small in comparison to the joy they gave us for all those years. Take care, JanF.

I am so very sorry for your loss.

We had to put down our Boarder Collie 3 weeks ago and I have tears in my eyes as I type this. I still haven't picked up all his things because I just can't bear to clear the house of his presence.

Mike, I'm so sorry to hear about your friend/daughter Emily Ann passing away. I know the sadness associated that event. We had two little dogs pass away at the end of last year and we still aren't over it. They were 15 and 11 years old. We have a new little Chihuahua (Dixie)but still mess up and call her by her predecesors name, Sadie. I sure that Emily Ann was very lucky to have you in her life. Once again, so sorry.
