The Flying Burrito Brothers version of "Wild Horses" is hauntingly beautiful:

My list has three favorites:
Sympathy for the Devil and Paint it Black
but my number one favorite is "You Can't Always Get What You Want"

Muir, if I scanned everyone's post correctly, you are the only one to mention a post 1980 song. Maybe it's the age bracket thing, as the only songs that I truly like came from "Tattoo You" and later....

My most often played RS is Beast Of Burden.
But there's 19th Nervous Breakdown, and Lady Jane for a different RS sound.

Don't know if it's an age thing but I doubt it. I just like Waiting on a Friend. Not sure why. Guess it just relaxes me. Which is probably unusual for a Stones song.

Long drive today and listened to 35 Rolling Stones songs today on my iPad (post #1 wrong). Not my favorite, but what do Stones fans think of As Tears Go By? I like it, but I'm not sure it suits a mature Jagger voice.

I always liked Marianne Faithfull's version of "As Tears Go By" better than the Stones' version.

Can't you hear me knocking, Monkey Man and Sympathy for the Devil.

Loved the Beatles but the Stones were the bad ass group of the day followed closely by Zep and the Who.
