If so, tell me a bit about it. What was involved? How much did it cost? How did you find the contractor? what prices did the losing bidders propose vs. the winner? ETC Have you ever cleaned the mold yourself as opposed to hiring a pro? If so, why?

I have always indicated in our advertising that we offer mold remediation. After taking several courses and gearing up...insurance put a stop to that. Now that my company is not in its infancy, a mold rider is more affordable. We currently sub out all of our mold work and it makes me sick to see him raking in the $$ he is. EX: Yesterday we did two duct jobs simultaneously with the mold guy....took us a total of 4 hrs...took him about 8. I cleared about $600 after expenses and he cleared about $6000.

I'm just curious about your experiences and knowledge of the industry.

Thanks!!

It is not the same kind of work as your ducts...

My sister did it herself for her house... but there was a company there to check out what she did and test, test, test...

But maybe any ole smoe off the street can say he is a 'mold remediator'....
