Excel Charting Question
Is there a way to dual-scale an axis on an Excel-generated chart?
For example:
Let the X-axis be calendar years, let the Y-axis be $.
On the Y-axis, plot both yearly expense and net worth.
In this example, if the person was spending 4% of their net worth each year, the expenses would be down in the mud, as the overall vertical range of the chart will be set by the maximum parameter, which in this case is the net worth.
Is there a way to create two separate Y-axis scales, a sensitive one for expenses, and a much coarser one for net worth?
This type of thing has been handled in other charts I've seen by having the leftmost Y-axis one parameter, and the rightmost Y-axis the other parameter, which then allows separate scales to be used.
I have Excel 2000, and so far haven't seen a way to do it.
