Great pic Khan. My DH's great grandparents were German and came through Ellis Island. Wish I had pics of them to share with everyone. He was a violin maker and she was a singer. I always thought that's where DH got his love for music.

The car looks like a 1951 Buick
The nurse looks like my neighbors picture from WW2, she was a WASP. I remember one story she told was she hated flying the bombers. Too much like driving a bus. Her favorite was the single-engine fighters.....

I'd say a 1949 Buick Super- Unless another porthole is hidden behind the little girl's head. It that caso it would be a Roadmaster.

IIRC, If the car didn't start the first time they would have to wait 30 minutes to try again.

My mother (left) at a family picnic circa 1913. She was on the lace curtain Irish side.

Me (second to left) with my brothers circa 1955. Can anyone identify that vehicle?

Just kidding....
I was a stuffed animal aficionado myself. Still am. I'm drooling over the teddy bear in the pic.
