Fast Food must be Addicting.

Just went for a ten mile run and as I past the Bojangles, Chick file, mcDonalds and even the Taco Bell there were over 15 yes 15 cars in each parking lot on the drive up window lines!!!

I am stumped to understand why people would wait on such long lines in a car for a burger or chicken sandwich french fries and EColi Tacos!!!

Plus the parking lots were all full!!

By the way my trip of 512 miles today back home to NC from NJ was very eventful. On I 95 in Delaware at dawn it was just getting light a truck pulling a large trailer with wheels the size of an 18 wheeler LOST a wheel moving at about 70mph, I was in the centerlane about 50 yards away when it broke from the axil and went bouncing inches from my passenger side window. needless to say I almost bought the farm.

Lucky the traffic was light I do not think anyone was hit by the tire there were not many drivers behind us at the time.

Geesh, But as I continued I made it home in 7 hours and 22 mins for 512 miles with three stops. Best time ever.

The car stays in NC now I will fly back for my last week on dec 16th!!

Dec 22 its over ER time!!

Whoa what a ramble this was!!

They think it's food.

One has to take some time away from junk food to realize how truly loathsome it is.

They also think it is fast and convenient and cheap.

I can grab an apple on my way out or in the grocery store... That is fast

I am a great cook so we enjoy leftovers... That is convenient

Cheap is getting a lousy price on your car when you sell it because of grease smell & soda stains... Cheap is payhng 5$ for high carb, fat, sodium and sugar crap meal so you can pay for BP Pills and Cholesterol Drugs and a bypass.

Time, cost, convenience and instant gratification explains fast food addiction which robs money from things like FIRE and family.

Glad you didn't "buy the farm" newguy888!!!

I sit down and eat a full meal at McDonalds and I am still full afterwards... I swear they put something in their food that makes it non filling. You just eat and eat and eat and still crave more.

I'm sure they spent many millions researching just the right combinations of crap.

Remember, their goal is not to feed and nourish, but to maximize sales.

Re: Fast Food must be Addicting.

Maybe it is my imagination, but with all the touring (and living) we have done in the USA, it seemed the further south we went, the more popular fast food was. Or maybe it was related to population density. I don't really know. But I do know we could hardly believe the density of fast food places, and how busy they were, for the ~3.5 yrs we lived in the Houston area.

Good for you! I saw a guy who was killed by one of those. Bounced over the median and came through the windshield of the truck he was driving. Squashed him flat in his seat. The brake lights were still on from him standing on the pedal.
