I just got back from dentist, and have sticker shock. My total estimate for one flexible partial upper denture ($1,659), 3 extractions ($150 ea), two full crowns ($998 ea) some resin fillings ($165/$175 ea) and scalling route planing ($175 x 4 sides) Total is is over $7,500.

Anyone recently have any of this work? How do these prices sound. My sister in Colorado just got her flexible partial dentures for $800 ea. I know what part of the country makes a difference. Thinking I should go to Colorado or Mexico maybe.

Can't comment on the dentures, but everything else looks like what I would be charged in Northern CA.

That's a huge expense, but might be normal from my experience.
3 years ago I paid
$135 for a filling
$990 for a crown
$1100 for a metal upper partial (don't know about flexible)
The 'planing' sounds like about double what I paid, but I'm sure these procedures can vary a lot. After all, I only have 2/3rds of my teeth......

When I retire and have to pay full price, I definitely can see Mexico in my dental future.
