FLIER?

I have decided that FIRE does not fit my situation
and have taken it upon myself to produce an
acronym to more accurately describe my retirement.
Others who follow my path (if any) may feel free to
use this.

FLIER

Finances Literally Ignored Early Retirement

I kind of like it, don't you?

Re: FLIER?

Well hey................. as I have said many times, I do not recommend my approach to anyone. For me the
decision was easy. The bottom line is my massive ego
allows me to leap where others fear to tread. I ALWAYS
expect to come out on top. Always!

A couple of examples:

In 1990 I bought a manufacturing company by borrowing 100% of the price. My banker said
that he had talked to former employees who told him
the company was DOA. Was I deterred? Nope.
Bought it anyway, and it worked out fine. In 1991 I took up
motorcycles. After about 30 days experience I packed up and left for the west coast. My wife said, "Are you sure you are ready for this?" I said, "I'll learn on the trip."

Fear can hold you back in all areas of living. Don't allow it. We'll all be dead soon enough and all of your worries and fretting over relationships/investments/retirement/health/etc won't mean diddly squat.
