Florida residents

Anyone living in Florida should call the ins. co. that holds their home owners policy for a wind inspection. Florida has a free inspection going on right now via your ins. co..

I was amazed but I had the inspection done and today received a check for $524. I don't have hurricane shutters but I do have a hip roof and other fasteners in my roof that qualify.

My policy cost was reduced by 1/3 and that's a good chunk of change for doing nothing.

Got a state contact name or number, or do you have to go through your insurance carrier?
