Florida Truck Nutz Ban

What will the recent spate of wackiness in the news do to Florida’s reputation?
http://www.autoblog.com/2008/04/21/the-irony-state-shaped-like-penis-bans-truck-nutz/ Florida is banning truck nutz http://www.thatsnutz.com/truck-nuts-c-65.html , a decorative(?) anatomically suggestive accessory hung from the back of pickup trucks – usually right below the trailer hitch.

I suspect that both the truck nutz and the banning of them will exacerbate the existing phenomenon of some non-Floridians referring to us as “Florons.”

I always thought Florida's license plate was comical in their selection and placement of both the orange and the state outline. Then, in case it wasn't obvious, they redesigned the plate to include two oranges.

I think they're somewhat stupid, but not at all offensive; doesn't Florida have other stuff to worry about?
