Free e-books and audio books online

Just came across these sites on some other websites. Since I have a PDA with a built-in MP3 player, the ability to read/hear hundreds of free books has been fantastic!

I really expected electronic books to have taken off by now.

I guess it's copyright issues, and non-acceptance that hold them back.

You're correct. Fortunately, there are more e-books out there that have expired (or non-renewed) copyrights than I could possibly read in a lifetime. It's often a good idea to read the classics and older fiction/non-fiction works, since you often discover that what's being published today as insider "secrets" to _______ [fill in the blank with "finance", "investing", "health", "sex", etc...] have actually been known for centuries if not thousands of years..
