Ya just can't get 'em in upstate New Yawk. I did well with the Mahi Mahi fish-and-chips, come to think of it.

If any of you have an opportunity to meet other members, I highly recommend it. If you like their posts, you'll almost certainly like them in person.

Nice pic.............always nice to put a poster with a face..........

You both look young..........

Nope you are right...I just had to look it up. This paragraph explains it...

But the confusion is understandable. The late Don Messick voiced both characters, and Scooby Doo, who has been around since 1969, is both more contemporary and more popular than "The Jetsons," which first aired in 1962.

Sorry for the highjack....carry on....

Hey, I thought this was an EARLY retirement forum .

I'm just turning 61. Freebird is obviously younger, but I leave that disclosure to her.

Take a minute and fill it in.
Anyone who would like to meet up for a pint in NY, NJ or a fair chunk of PA, MD or DE would be welcometo drop me a line. I will also be in Charlotte, NC for much of Feb and will have a lot of time on my hands in the evenings.

Wish I lived closer. I'd take you up on that one. We could have Svejk serve us that pitcher of beer he's holding......while saying 'humbly report' of course.

There is actually a Czech beer garden within an hour's drive of where I live. Vaclav Havel visited and planted a tree.

It sounds like it was a nice occasion and you do both look wonderful. Did your significant others get along while you two compared asset allocations and dollar cost averaging strategies?

Freebird can correct me, but come to think of it, we never really discussed money. Careers, life situations, and general financial scenarios maybe for a few minutes but we were having too much fun cracking open King Crabs, ordering the 2-for-1 specials, and planning out Freebird's excursions for the next couple of days.

Last I saw of her, she and her friend were heading out to the casino. Hmm...

I've met a few people from the NBA fan type forums I used to frequent, always a good time. Made some real friends.

If anyone around Phoenix is up for lunch, lemme know!
