I was doing some major early Spring cleaning here recently. After dusting off shelves full of books and DVDs and CDs, on a whim I started stuffing most of them 6-8 deep into one gallon storage bags. I figured it'd cut down on cleaning, make storing, organizing and moving things easier, and so far it's working out great!

I wish I'd thought of this a lot sooner. $3.50 to save hours of cleaning in the future seems like a great deal to me, and I still have plenty of bags left over for later use too.

55 gallon bags work pretty well, too.

moisture problems might ruin books and your electronics.

Throw in a used dryer sheet to absorb the moisture.
