Khan, has your relative done it? That might be enough news for me. I would let family secrets lie.

Have received contacts from several relatives.

But some are also into weird anti-science stuff.

Wondering if site is legit.

My first impression is that it is a crackpot site trying to look legit like the National Geographic:

National Geographic - Inspiring People to Care About the Planet

But that's just me.
Hope someone has better insight.

Seriously, guys.

Khan, it is new to me, but I don't follow these things. I wouldn't bite, but see what your relative's experience has been.

Never heard of them until now.
It looks kinda hokey to me - for instance "are you related to Marie Antoinette?" The borderline tabloid style of the site turned me right off.

I don't know anything about this specific site, but consumer/geneological DNA testing are is well accepted and used by many people.

RootsWeb: GENEALOGY-DNA-L [DNA] Genebase and the Vanishing Blog

"I am not sure what to do with the former contents of the blog, but I do know that it needs to be available to potential customers, particularly those who might be tricked into confusing a legitimate scientific endeavor with what seems to amount to a lowly shoddy money grabbing scheme with no redeeming attributes."

From a competitor's website. Read the informative posts from the deleted blog.
