Genghis Khan, the Green Machine

By his actions Genghis Khan removed nearly 700 million tons of the so called green house gas CO2 from the atmosphere.

The war between the Hutus and Tutsis is likely a modern emulator for such beneficial activity.

I like to focus on the positive elements of Genghis Khan myself. Why the constant talk of bloodthirsty conqueror? He was actually a rather cool leader, after learning more about him when we were in Mongolia.

It is the western media. If it bleeds it leads. Never mind the rest of the story.

By the way, the article is a prime example of what happens when extensive intellectual mastrubation is taken beyond the nth degree.

I just wonder where they got the number of killed at 40 million... seems a bit high to me... remember, this was WAY back when..

Just wanted to add... I could not find anything on the population... but came across this on the black plague...

"The Black Death originated in China and spread by way of the Silk Road.[2] It may have reduced the world's population from an estimated 450 million to between 350 and 375 million in 1400.[5]"

Soooo, the world population was in the 450 million range in the 1400s, which was a few hundred years after Ghengis... that would mean he killed 10% of the worlds population... I think this would put him as the greatest mass murderer of all time...

73, where on earth do you find this stuff?
We spent about 2 hours last night watching Gong Show episodes on YouTube and I only wish I'd come across this in my "research".

Here's the Lyrics:

Moscow, Queen of the Russian land.
Built like a rock to stand.
Proud and divine.
Moscow, your golden towers glow,
Even through ice and snow.
Sparkling, they shine.

And every night, night, night there is music
Oh every night, night, night there is love,
And every night, night, night there is laughter.
Here's to you, brother, hey, brother ho.

Hey, hey, hey
Moscow, Moscow,
Throw your glasses at the wall,
Fame and fortune to us all, ho, ho, ho, hey
Moscow, Moscow, join us for a casatchok.
We'll be dancing 'round the clock ha, ha, ha hey
Moscow, Moscow
Drinking vodka all night long,
Keeps you happy, makes you strong ho, ho, ho hey.
Moscow, Moscow,
Come and have a drink again,
You will never leave again. Ha, Ha, Ha

Moscow
City of Mystery,
So full of history
Noble and old.

Mo-Mo-Mo-Mo-Mo-Mo-Mo-Moscow, there is a burning fire,
That never will expire.
Deep in your soul.

And every night, night, night there is music
Oh every night, night, night there is love,
And every night, night, night there is laughter.
Here's to you, sister, hey, sister ho.

Hey, hey, hey
Moscow, Moscow,
Throw your glasses at the wall,
And good fortune to us all, ho, ho, ho, hey
Moscow, Moscow, join us for a casatchok,
We'll be dancing round the clock, ha, ha, ha, hey
Moscow,
La, la, la, la, la, la, la ho
Moscow,
La, la, la, la, la, la, la, hey

Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
Moscow, Moscow
Moscow, Moscow
Take Natasha in your arms,
You'll be dazzled by her charms. Hey
Moscow, Moscow
She will make you understand,
Russia is a wondrous land, Ah, ha, ha, ha

Moscow, Moscow

And every night, night, night there is music
Oh every night, night, night there is love,
And every night, night, night there is laughter.
Here's to you brother hey brother ho.

Hey, hey, hey
Moscow, Moscow,
Throw your glasses at the wall,
And good fortune to us all, ho, ho, ho, hey
Moscow, Moscow, join us for a casatchok.
We'll be dancing 'round the clock ha, ha, ha hey
Moscow, Moscow
Drinking vodka all night long,
Keeps you happy, makes you strong ho, ho, ho hey.
Moscow, Moscow,
Come and have a drink again,
You will never leave again. Ha, Ha, Ha Hey! Send "Moscow" ringtones to your cell
