It's all digital. I don't bother deleting anything but the hopelessly bad photos. Everything is tagged by date, most are tagged by location, and an idiot face recognition AI tries to tag family members by name. (Good on humans, not so good on cats...)

I do build digital albums out of my favorites, which are shared across gadgets, and sometimes even get printed.

I figure that since I can buy storage to hold a million photos or so for $100 US, culling to 'save space' or whatever isn't worth the trouble. I suppose you could accuse me of hoarding 1s and 0s, but I do so very neatly...

On a side note, I've been digitizing some of the family's old 78 RPM records (pre-vinyl, these are acoustic shellac disks). It finally sunk in that these things are over 100 years old - and they are playable, and play better than they did back then (with modern cartridges, amp & speakers).

Bet those DVDs don't last 100 years.
