Girl Groups

Let's see if we can get 73ss454 to like anything other than 60s girl groups! Yes, we've all tried and tried, but it might be fun to give it a go anyway

My first entry...a girl group from the 40s

Well, I have to admit that I am a huge fan of the 60's girl groups too, and I am not sure I can find a non-sixties girl group that holds a candle to them.

That said, I enjoyed this performance from last year.

oh barf!! I never did care much for the Lennon Sisters' singing. I did have Lennon Sisters paper dolls when I was little, though, so maybe that counts.

Both great, but we're doing girl groups, not girl leads. Not that I would ever call Sister Rosetta a girl. Ma'am, more likely.

Yes, that's a drift from girl groups to girl leads, guilty as charged. But I would have to call her 'Sister', old habits die hard. (pun unfortunately intended).

I still have to laugh out loud at the line in the Blues Brothers movie - 'we're going to see the Penguin, you promised'
