Google 411

Have many of you tried this service? Just add 1-800-466-4411 to your quick dial. Google asks for city and merchant name, looks up the number, and connects you for free. Verizon charges me for every 411 call and extra to connect so this is a nice service.

Edit: no extra to connect, just an extra to send a text with the number. Google will probably add a free email soon.

It is fantastic. I make sure it is in all our phones. I was super impressed how good the voice recognition works. I think I may have posted on it before, but it is worthy of a refresh.

And you can do it from your home phone too, if you just want to try it w/o burning minutes of cell time. Just try "Pizza" "My Town, My State" (and no "Say Good-Night", Gracie, jokes!).
