Hard to not include Eric Johnson. The first 3 minutes of this are pretty laid back and then he really rips into it.

We need some bottom in this set! Bass solos tend not to be highly considered, mostly they make everyone else around them better. But this guy made bass a lead instrument! RIP.

Thanks, IP! I always loved La Callas as much for her theatricality as for her voice. I am not so terribly well versed in opera. Have attended a few here and there. This year I treated myself to a subscription to the Pittsburgh Opera. The season kicks off with "Boris Gudunov"(Mussorgsky). I just hope the Steelers don't have home games every time I am scheduled to be in town(much as I wish them well of course). Go Stillers!(I don't want to be lynched).

Your really on to something with Eric Johnson a great player.
Just had to add a couple more Eric Johnson songs I found.
This one in my home town/city I grew up in.
I gave my son tickets to see him a couple months back in B'ham. at City Stages.
This of course is a recording a few years back probably at an eariler City Stages event.

And this one sounds like something Bach or Beethoven might play.
They come together as a whole group around 4:30 into it.

No video, but Edgar Winter's White Trash, and one Rick Derringer, rocked out on this one...

Jimmy Page, Led Zepplin - Stairway to Heaven

Jimi Hendrix - All Along the Watchtower

Eric Clapton, Cream - Crossroads
