Now I'm praying for the end of time so I can end my time with you....
So maybe not so much of a love song, eh?

Not even "Hot Patootie, Bless My Soul" from the Rocky Horror Picture Show?

While a dilettante like me keeps babbling about music, we have not heard a peep from the musicians among us. I have counted T-Al, R-I-T, and Janet-H at the minimum. Pray tell us. What are your favorites?

How can you insult poor HFWR like that--he may not play well, but I believe that he does play! <grin>

I suspect it's because real musicians don't do love songs.

Just to prove I'm not a real musician either, here are my choices.

What's a love song? I've always been partial to this one (don't try to watch the non video, just listen).

So, that's him and his guitar as the icon? My apology, as I have not been on this forum long to know. In any case, I did include a CYA that I counted 3 musicians at the minimum. Make it 4 then.
Still have not heard from the others. If they don't do love songs, what do they play? Eliminating love as a subject would reduce their repertoire by 95%. Should someone start a thread on "Music not about love" for them to post?

NW-Bound, that is a good question! The musicians I like to listen to write about broke down trucks, child support and back-seat sex. (Undone, by Robert Earl Keen)
I tend towards the songs where the girl leaves him and he takes to drinking. Or maybe not in that order.
I keep thinking back to the power ballads of the 1970s for my love songs, or something heartfelt by James Taylor, so I have no idea.
Musicians?

Nope. Just coming back to earth.
OK, here is a sweeter one. And this video has my alltime love, Jennifer Grey, when she still had a real nose.

Oh, BTW, since someone asked about it in the Forum Admin, when your linked video has "Embedding disabled by request", you can just click on the title of the video and it will open in a new window and take you to Youtube to watch. I didn't know that, but loved Ha's Offspring video!
Edited to add: MichaelB had the question above, and Ed the Gypsy had the answer. Gotta credit my sources!
