Growing Old--

Since the topic is a common source of conversation here, I thought the forum would find Liz Taylor's column a worthy resource. Her column is accessible at this link Growing Older | Seattle Times Newspaper. She addresses the many big and little dilemmas that people face as they age. It's intended for middle-aged and older women and men who are concerned about the needs of their aging parents -- and their own future needs. Her archive has a number or articles on LTC and helping aging parents. All topics we in ER are working to manage.
In last weeks column, "This isn't your grandfather's retirement", she touches on a number of impacts resulting from boomers entering retirement. For example, she cites a recent MetLife study that showed 60% of the 60-65 work because they need the $$ to live on. Guess most of them are not forum members
Her articles are rich in resources and perspective. Hope you find her column as much of value as we do.
