Me, too, I always buy my favorite kind just in case I "have to" eat it. Twenty years in the same house and only had trick or treaters twice. Almost felt bad not answering the door.

Yeah, I bought two bags of Reese's peanut butter cups. I bet 3/4 or more will be left over. At least I hope so

At 50 I think I'm the youngest kid on the block. Maybe I should dress up and go trick-or-treating at my neighbors!

For the last 5 or 6 years I have been handing out Juice boxes to the kids. They seem to like this more than candy (the parents too). Safe, sealed, a little more healthy, and the only thing to drink as they get thirsty from eating all the candy they receive. Yes, I know about the high fructose corn syrup so I get the 100% juice.

Cheers!

Added bonus...Mr Boston knows several Father Guido routines cold. He does the Italian accent perfectly and can go through 3 skits naturally. He had me laughing so hard doing the "10 Suggestions" instead of the "10 Commandments" in the new church he was founding.
All I had to do was strut around and display some cleavage and leg. My "smile bucket" was pretty full last night.

Since the houses in my neighborhood are close together and close to the street, it is a popular trick or treating destination. We expect more than 50 of them (when we first moved here, it was well over 100 per Halloween). The jack-o-lanterns are carved and on the porch with candles lit, the treat basket is full and we're ready to go. The young wife is dressed as the Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz. I don't really need a costume to scare children.

I'm not sure we're even going to get many trick or treaters. The merchants in town had Halloween last weekend, and the schools had parties on Friday, and no doubt there were family parties last night. I think the kids have put their costumes on so many times already they are Halloweened out.

It's getting near dusk and they usually get started much earlier, especially on a weekend. But not one so far.

None here yet, either, BestWifeEver. I expect there will be groups of hundreds by 7:30 PM or so, though. Most years, several inner city churches bring busloads of trick-or-treaters and for some inexplicable reason, deliver them to my street. Then they wait and give them a ride home.

I thought the trick-or-treaters might come last night, due to Hallowe'en falling on a Sunday, but they didn't.

Voo-Doo Fest is in full swing in City Park. We drove through that area and the outskirts of the quarter to see everyone in costume. New Orleans is pretty wild on Hallowe'en.

With the exception of our grandkids, we've not had one show up at our house for the past 13 Halloweens - too far out in the sticks. But we had one lone Spiderman knock on the door of our motor home a few minutes ago...

We've already had more trick or treaters than the last 3 years combined. Might have to give out all the candy I bought instead of eating it myself! Well, if we run out of candy, we'll give out quarters - we gots lots in DH's change bucket - money always works!!

I never get ANY trick or treaters.

I live on a 45 mph road with no streetlights and a sharp bend in the road just a few hundred yards from my driveway. Not the type of environment any parent would want to let their kids go door to door in.
Bummer because I would definitely dress up and answer the door in a scary costume.

Perhaps this is attracting all the kids...my little simple halloween decoration. Hey, I love black cats so why not the kiddies too?
