From the article:

Tanabe, recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the oldest living male last year, eats mostly vegetables and believes the key to longevity is not drinking alcohol.

Eating mostly veggies and no booze? Not sure I'd want to live 113 years under such a constraint. It reminds me of the old story about a woman asking Winston Churchill if it were true that she could live to be 100 if she ate well, didn't drink or smoke and all that stuff, to which Churchill allegedly replied, "Yes, madam, but it will feel like 200."

Do I want to use them just spending it on more crap and more stuff, or do I want to start getting a handle on it and using my life more intelligently?" -- Joe Dominguez (1938 - 1997)
