That's the class where I learned that my sparring partner was the captain of the hockey team. I'd never been knocked unconscious yet remained standing before. It was as if I'd blinked and the movie had skipped a few dozen frames...

Thanks for the input. I do have some friends who are uniformed cops, but I see them in a casual recreation setting, not with their work buddies talking over the job, so I probably don't get a lot of the 'war stories' aspect that even the nicest of them could tell.

And you are right, everyone's tales get taller the more they get told; so these might have been some stories intended just to make a point or to amuse, rather than 'torn from reality'. At least, I hope.

I was slapped once by a teacher and twice by my mom. The teacher never touched me again when my mom found out.

I have never put my hand on anyone to inflict pain.

As for slapping somewhere lower than the face, well, let's just say that some girls have made the request that they be the recipients, and I gladly obliged. I date one other girl who liked to dish out, and I promptly stopped seeing her.

I've been slapped by my mom. She was a bit slap-happy when I was younger. When I got old enough to slap her back, I did, & that ended all the slapping.

Other than that, I was slapped by one boyfriend, who I then hit, & then broke up with.

I'm pretty anti-violence, or at least, anti-starting violence. If someone hits me first, then I'll defend myself, if I can't run off. But I'd never slap someone just because I was angry with them.

Except for my cats. if I see one of them slapping another one, then I slap the slapper (not hard), if I'm close enough to do it right away. I want them both to understand that I'm the mommy & slapping each other only begets more slapping.
