Have you ever smoked marijuana?

Just out of idle curiousity, a poll for you... have you ever smoked marijuana? (pot, cannabis, weed, etc). I wanted to see what the breakdown by age group might be.

If you ever smoked it even once, any time in your entire lifetime, that counts, and it counts even if you didn't inhale. Other drugs don't count.

We have all seen marijuana in the movies, I am sure, but if you haven't smoked it, have you ever seen it in real life?

This is not a public poll, so your answer is secret.

Does eating brownies or other food or drink items with pot in them count? Not that I'm saying I have done that. I just heard that it could be done.

And how about never smoking it but getting a contact high from it?

As for the inhaling issue, read the opening post! (you high, or what?)

Eating brownies or getting a contact high isn't the same as smoking pot. Sorry. Got to make these definitions ironclad with youse guys..

So far, it looks like the 41-54 year olds are more likely to have smoked pot than those older or younger. But we shall see! Keep those votes rolling in...

I've never smoked it, but had a couple of friends who did. Tactfully, they did not do so in front of me. Otherwise the only times I saw it was when I arrested those who had some.

The closest I came to it was getting high on the fumes when I was helping a friend with doping the wing of a sailplane with airplane dope - it shrinks when it dries, drawing the fabric tight. The guy I was working on it with said it was about the same as a marijuana high. Even with an open shed, with all that wing area the fumes got pretty intense.

Let's just say I have seen it smoked. A lot. I mean a lot. A lot.

What's the statute of limitations on crimes involving marijuana use? Anyone know off hand? That may affect answers here. If it is less than 13 years, then no comment.

I am almost ashamed to admit that I am 35, and I have never even seen Marijuana (or any other kind of drug) in real life. During all my years in high school and college, nobody even pressured me to try it. Nada. The weird thing is, I used to hang our with all kinds of people in high school, including the "bad boys"... Booze, cigarettes and sex seemed to be far more popular "sins" than drugs though.

Thanks to CNBC's "Marijuana Inc.", at least I know what it looks like now... Before watching the show, I thought people smoked the leaves but apparently the bud is the "good stuff".

Ironically, I have a problem with anxiety and I have heard that pot might be the best remedy for it... Even if it were legal, I'd still be too chicken to try it though.

Yeah, that is what Toby Keith said about touring with Willie Nelson.

I'd recommend a gym membership and working hard at weight lifting, seriously. At least for me, that seems to really help my stress and anxiety levels.

Well are you? Just kidding. It is interesting to me, to see that of all the wealthy, successful, mainstream people we have on this forum, only TWO so far have not seen marijuana in real life. Some chose to smoke it, some didn't, but virtually all of us have been around it.

And the auxiliary thread we might need, courtesy of Ronin: best names for, ahem, specific varietals, and no cheating by renting Pineapple Express!
