Hawaii hit by a foot of snow!

Well, actually it's just Mauna Kea. It's not easy to get there, and the interisland seats usually sell out when the storm clears. But it turns out that a snowball actually does have a chance in Hawaii.

Now I'll have to keep any eye out for the Mauna Kea Snowboarding Championships. Hey, fo' real, brah.

Re: Hawaii hit by a foot of snow!

We got about 6 inches at my old mcmansion about 6 years ago. Fairly surreal. I was entertained when I woke up to the neighborhood kids sledding down my steep backyard. By the time I was driving home later that day from work, I had re-reached my fully fedupedness with snow gained from growing up in the Boston area...

I read a very funny story about a dog sled competition there. The snow didn't bother the local dogs, but the altitude caused them to colapse.
