Help for Marginal ERs

"Finally, many baby boomers' living arrangements differ from those of their parents in ways that could affect their financial status during retirement. Elderly boomers are more likely than elderly members of previous generations to be divorced or never to have married.(16) Historically, unmarried people tend not to live as long as married people and so require less retirement wealth." -CBO

Simple, don't marry, or get divorced, and you don't live so long, so you can run FireCalc with a shorter horizon.

Married people don't actually live longer, it just feels like we do sometimes.
