Hobby/Interest/Wall Decor?

Am not sure if this exists, but seem to recall seeing pics of a den or wall decor that is based on family pictures, personal hobbies, interests etc.

Any thoughts or references as to what or how this is done?

My reason?... Am into bird watching. Just picked up a package of 12"x14" color pictures of 40 American Birds at the local salvation Army Store, for $.50... Would like to set them up as a large mosaic on a wall, but seem to remember seeing something like this that used a method like gluing to a large linen fabric, or something like that.

My imagination? or is this something that is part of modern home decor?

Think of things like this...
https://www.pinterest.com/explore/polaroid-wall/

which was for polaroid pictures only

Was looking for a way to display that wouldn't be permanent... One that I saw on this site, showed pics suspended from a string "clothesline, using paper clips.
