one to point out that all the posts about the correct light bulb (lightbulb?) changing techniques are useless without pictures.

That would be me! It drives me nuts that it is repeated so often. Joseph Swan and others had patents earlier. Edison made the first commercially successful lightbulb light bulb, but that isn't the same a 'inventing' it.
