How many people do you ignore?
I've been wondering about this for a while now. I have 15 people on my "ignore" list. These folks make it there in one of two ways: repeatedly starting new threads that are quoted/linked news articles along with complaints about how awful something is, or writing something that I believe to be so remarkably stupid or inaccurate. The former I add to reduce my blood pressure; I add the latter to protect myself in case they later write something that sounds plausible but really shouldn't be trusted.
So how many people do you have on your ignore list? (To find out, you can go to your profile via "Portal" / "User Control Panel" / "Edit Ignore List")

You don't have the option for me....
I don't have anyone on an ignore list.... but I don't read 'everything' either... I filter as I go... and don't go into threads that do not interest me...
SO, what should I vote....
(of course.. this assumes I am NOT on your ignore list  )

I'm pretty certain there was a poll like this in the last year. I'm not saying this to castigate the OP (though I do wish people would search first), but since the OP was wondering about the numbers, the info is already out there (and some people may not bother to vote again).

So far, I haven't put anyone on "ignore", ever. I consider their posts to be like the storm debris around here after Hurricane Katrina. You start to ignore it/them, after a while. You know the problem is there, but you push it to the background.
Edited because I was too specific about individuals. I've had a hard day at work.   I can hardly wait to ER!

Most people on the board are good folks. Everyone has their moments (including myself). But so far I have not felt the need to ignore.
I have full control to read or not read comments as I choose. It is rare that I choose to not read something because a particular person wrote it, rather it is the topic (or tangent on the topic) that I might choose to not read.

Fraud! Oh, you Firm One, that is not what happens when I come upon one of my ignored people.
Haven't voted yet, will wait to the end of the day to see if I want to add anyone. BTW, I read everything anyway because I don't sign in on my mobile device so it doesn't know I'm one of those who is ignoring you (if I am)! When I am signed in, the ignore signal reminds me not to post with this one; but I'm untrainable and post anyway.

TexasProud, no you're not on my ignore list ;-). I meant the second choice in the poll to apply to folks like you (and W2R and chinaco) who just don't use the feature.
RunningBum, I didn't realize there was already a poll. At any rate, maybe the numbers have changed between then and now.

FYI, six people ignore between 10 and 24 posters, though I would bet some of the ignored people have since left.
Another 14 people ignore between three and eight posters

I don't ignore anyone yet, but I'm still kind of new here. I still like reading everyone's comments. Even the ones from crazy fools I don't agree with (just kidding--there are no crazy fools here).

That's one way to look at it. Here's another perspective:
I didn't have an ignore feature where I worked. Would have loved it.
Now that I'm retired, I do have an ignore feature....and I do love it.
Truly a win-win situation.

Zero, although I've been thinking of putting myself on my ignore list. Sometime I really piss me off.
Seriously, I only read a fraction of the posts. I have limited time and can only read the board during rare bouts of availability (can't wait until I ER). There are a few people who I normally skip (and some people who I always read), but I don't have a need to use the ignore feature.
