I LOVE my new pellet rifle

I ended up returning the Quest .22 air rifle I got a week ago. It wouldnt shoot accurately AT ALL...and no, it wasnt me!

Within 5 shots I had my new GAMO CFX .22 zero'd in. My next 5 shots all were in the same .5" hole at 20 yards. I was even stacking pellets at 45 yards!!!!!!!!

To me, 45 yards for a stock pellet rifle is FAR....or it was, until I shot this thing. It has an el-cheapo 4x32 scope on it that came with the gun. The quality of this thing amazes me when compared to the CRAP Crosman I had.

If anyone is considering looking for an airgun...GET THE CFX...you wont regret it.

Trying to hit quarter-sized targets at 50 yards on a windy day can be relaxing...I promise!

Now you just have to figure out the optimum pellet for use in this gun. I've read Gamo Hunter gave best results. Make sense. In a Gamo gun? Who knew.

This gun cost me 215 with the scope included. much better comboa than the Crosman Quest for $115. It was the cheapest .22 I could find...and look what happened!!!

I am shooting Gamo Match (wadcutters) right now, because i stocked up. but hunters are next on my list to try...theyre pretty cheap and should hold up better to those 45 yard shots!

I just bought a CO2 pellet pistol, from Walmart $59. I got it all loaded up, and I haven't seen a single chicken try to eat my tomatoes.

Who said that guns don't deter thiefs.

I'm just curious... What do you do with a pellet gun? Target practice? I went target shooting with my husband once, but with real and scary guns. Just wondering about the pellet guns.

Yes, I target shoot. Its pretty exhilerating to hit a 1/2" target from 50 yards...you have to perfect your shooting technique to do so....even the smallest hiccup will make a big difference 150 ft down range

I also use it for varmit/pest control.... I have these crazy squirrels that will run into my attached garage if you dont spook them...ive had my share of fun coaxing squirrels out of my home... i also have a groundhog that tore up my cat once...so if he ever comes out from under the shed, he's gonna feel the wrath of the .22!

I used to shoot possums in the butt to keep 'em away from the avocados, but they are too stupid to know they've been shot and should go away, so I stopped. Maybe they faked me out. Capping gophers is pretty challenging as they don't pop out of their holes for long.

Thanks. I think I'll keep this in mind, in case I want something new to do. Shoot at targets, that is...not varmits.

What is the problem  I'm sure it is a manufactured to rigorous Walmart standards by highly paid Chinese woman in state of the art factories.

Crosman Model 372 PA .22 cal. My in town varmint gun. Makes a cracked whip sort of noise when fired. Nobody knows a thing--except the varmints. And some of them don't even know is my guess. Fun for plinking cans too.
