I refer to this as an "inversion" because the order of people becomes inverted. This also happens in traffic, when you would
change lanes to get from behind a slower driver, but you can't because the line of traffic behind you is pealing off from the end of the tail to pass you (and the slow driver) blocking your way into the next lane..
