If you sign up for their card and transfer $5000 to the card, you get a *free* Dell Inspiron B130 (stated value on offer = $760). You have to at least keep a $3500 minimum balance on the account @ 9.9 % interest for a period of 18 months. If you dip below the $3500 balance, you will be charged $600.
Let's do the math:
A consistent $3500 balance for 18 months costs ~$575.00. I could buy the same Dell notebook for $499.00, which incidently is a starter laptop. Not something I would even look at.
Hmmm, it's offers like these that make me appreciate Citibank (thank you for the IPod Nano! ) and Chase. Citibank does rule though...
