Yeah...pretty funny, but I hope it is made up....she did mention not being an ahole twice so that has to be important

At least there is no BS about walking on the beach or serenades under a starry sky, so she at least has realism in her favor.

I have used these sites a few times over the last few years and didnt have much luck as a male...the first time I responded to a few that didnt post a picture and got one after several emails...BIG MISTAKE...I would have assumed that people in their 20s would at least be somewhat attractive or at least know enough to try to match themselves up with with similar looks One turned out to be a bit crazy as well...

I have tried again recently mainly to make friends....I think that the ladies that do post have x10 times as many responses as the guys and that makes it even harder...Generally, a lot of people that arent being honest and unrealistic expectations...

UPDATE on Oldbabe's Internet Dating Adventures:

Recently eharmony sent me a total of 30 matches . It's either feast or famine on that site.

Two matches contacted me yesterday. One was 71, too old for me, and the most important quality in a woman he's looking for is "outgoing personality." Ahem--so not bookish, socially retiring me.

The other is great, started communication back and forth. But he's very fit, an athletic type at age 62. Probably won't be interested in me with my zaftig, womanly figure.

Many other matches to go. It will be interesting to find out if any of them are attracted to a woman with a big vocabulary, an untoward romantic history, a great affection for her dog, and the aforementioned zaftig figure.

I'm sure you'll find your match after kissing a few frogs !

Well, Moemg, maybe after I light a few kissing frogs, or kiss a few lighted flames or whatever.

Sorry, back on topic - any luck so far Oldbabe? I tried match.com before and didn't have any luck. Right now I'm in a mode of "not looking"...but I might try it again if I am still unattached in 2009 (I gave myself a reprieve from thinking about dating for this year).
OK, do you and SecondCore really want a big get together in DC on September 18?

The old-timers are probably still cleaning the frosty beverages off their monitors but I'll give you a hint: I lifted the image from CFB's photo website...

Umm...nothing?

I guess I thought I knew how you felt about it but didn't want to say publicly how I thought you felt about it just in case I was wrong, or you changed your mind, or... I have some leftover divorce carnage where I now assume I don't know or understand anyone of the fairer sex even when I think I might.

But I am glad you're still up for it!

Ya'll, I think that Buns and Finance Dude were hoping for a ER Forum romance to be sparked by the meeting.

Well, haven't had much luck hunting on this board myself, so might as well help others along. Heck, I was talking to Citrine for two weeks about semi-ER. The entire time I didn't realize that Citrine is a girl, so obviously, I missed an opportunity there myself.

Buns, don't feel bad, I really suck at guessing genders, as I've recently discovered to my mortification. Here's my tip: don't guess dude every time!

I'm reasonably sure that Finance Dude is, in fact, a dude
