iOS 10 anyone?

Anyone install iOS 10? I don't usually install recent SW updates, but I was browsing a list of features and it looks interesting. Messaging in two different languages would be a major improvement for us.

Anyone else thinking about this or already installed?

I have it on an Ipad Mini 3, and an Iphone 6s. Works great on the 6s, but it seems to have slowed down the mini. I really like how it puts up notifications, and the new home page.

2 iPhone 6s and 2 iPads. Upgrades went without a hitch and tons of new features.

We're very pleased with 10.

We updated an iPad Air 2 and two iPhone 6+s. There have been a few very minor glitches, and my PC can no longer "see" my iPhone as a HD like it always did before. But I am sure Apple will do updates/patches quickly, like all previous major iOS's. Some new features we like, some probably appeal to others.

I've been running it for a while (since the early betas) and it's been pretty solid. I've had it on my daily use iPhone 6S+ with no problems.

I haven't noticed any slowdowns on any devices ( and we pretty much one of each in the house).

Highlights for me are the new Photos, Music, and Maps. They got noticeably easier to use and more powerful. For example, with Maps it was often hard to end a route if you didn't go to the exact endpoint. Now there is a nice big END button there.

Another thing I love about the new Maps is that when you are following a route, you can have it find food, gas, coffee ALONG THE ROUTE rather near you. Before it would send you on wild goose chases way off the road. Now it shows you places coming up at the next few exits. Exactly what I want.

Finally, if you have an Apple Watch, run, don't walk, to get watchOS 3.0. It's a huge upgrade for the watch.

Just got an iPhone 7 as my iPhone 5 was dying. I've been playing with it since Friday. Some of my apps didn't seem to be installed and I have had to reinstall them, but they were saved on my Apple profile. I haven't had any problems except one of my games went glitchy, which is probably a good thing! Runs great. I like the non-mechanical home button on the iPhone 7 as well.

I put 10 on my iPad thinking it would fix my iPad freezing spells. It has for the most part. I haven't really played with it much, but I like what I see so far. still have 9 on my phone.

I assume you mean the iPad Air 1? I have an original iPad, and I'm pretty sure iOS 6 was the end of the line on that hardware.

I've been been using iOS 10 on my iPhone 6s Plus for the last few days, and so far I like it a lot.

I upgraded when iOS 10 was released and no major issues. This is on an iPhone 6s and iPad Air 2. Overall, it feels quicker and more responsive than iOS 9.

The only thing I haven't gotten fully used to is the new home screen/unlocking functionality. Before when you put your finger to the home button, TouchID would unlock your device and go to the app view. Now you need to press the button for this to happen, otherwise it stays on the notification screen with your device unlocked.

I'm finding the texting on the Iphone5s is a little less intuitive for me--I go in the wrong direction re photo insert or accidentally record a few seconds or whatever and can't easily figure out how to go backward or cancel the action, but other than that I like it.

If you prefer the old system (I do), you can change it back: Settings>General>Accessibility>Home Button>Rest Finger To Open

I'll stick with a bit and see if it grows on me. I figure it's better to conform than resist. But it's good to know there's a way out.

I installed ios 10 on iphone 6s. It changed my life. I no longer have to swipe the home screen to unlock the phone. I now can send other iphone users really annoying pictures and gifs that are built into the imessager. Its wonderful.

If you want to learn all the ins and outs of iOS10, I have found the Take Control series of ebooks to be excellent and their iOS10 book is out:

https://www.takecontrolbooks.com/ios-10-crash-course

I've bought it but not read it yet - neither my phone or iPad have started nagging me to upgrade, so I haven't been in a rush. Will probably upgrade later this week.

I upgraded my iPad Air 2 earlier today, and so far I am underwhelmed. Guess I should read more about it. So far, the only thing I've noticed is that my jigsaw puzzle app is annoyingly slow, and really, what are iPads for if not for killing time with jigsaw puzzles? Just kidding. Hopefully they'll deliver an update that will fix that issue soon.

I am not as brave as BestWifeEver, and feel a little nervous about converting my iPhone 5S to iOS10. I think I'll wait a while unless it starts pushing me to do this.

I did the upgrade on DW's iPhone 6s but haven't played with it much. I don't think she even noticed. She just recently got it so we're both still on the lower end of the learning curve with it. I do plan to buy a 6s later this year for myself.
