The only way I have been able to store streaming media (YouTube, Netflix, etc) is by using third party software to rip the stream and then format it for the device. I took a couple of movies on vacation with me that way but it is a PITA.

Yes. All you need is the correct file format. iTunes likes MV4 but there must be others.

I will try download manager. It won't work for Netflix but there are YouTube tutorials I would like to save.

If you use Firefox on your computer there is an add on called Download Helper that will save You Tube and other videos in many different formats. I assume they could then be transferred to the IPod. I'll admit I could be way off base though since I don't have any Apple hardware.

You could email the video to the Ipod/Ipad and save it from there.
