Is your pet a heat seeker?
The computer peripheral Fluffy is enjoying was criticized for putting out too much heat. I call it multi-functional.

Yea, but not quite like that. This time of year our cats are pressed up against our bodies when we sleep. And in the early morning, the sun comes through our kitchen window and one of our cats follows the "sun spot" it leaves all morning.

Our cats used to sleep with us, but they got too playful so we have to close the door at night. In the morning, DH gets up first and opens the door. They get in bed with me and wait... They're waiting for me to get up so they can grab the 'warm spot'. They are poised for action the minute I open one eye.

Absolutely!
Princess (the tabby) lays ON the laptop all the time. I'm constantly scooting her off; she is forever making changes to my settings with her little kitty paws as she jumps off. I'm gonna have to get a pic of her on it now.

Ah...thanks. That bird spends a lot of time inside her shirt during the winter months. And that's private property as far as the bird is concerned so everything is off limits to me.

Oh yeah, our cats are heat seekers. The only thing that keeps them off of us this time of year is...

That's so funny, Poundkey. Sometimes my cat gets me up to open the curtains so she can start with the morning sun.

Moxie prefers the cold. She likes to go out and roll around in the dewy grass in the middle of the night.

Poundkey you really should submit photo that to cuteoverload.com.
While my cats snuggle a lot with me and will spend hours enjoying the sun, I wonder if cats are more affection in the winter.? Not having winter I don't really know.
But what do you all think are the little furballs friendlier when it is cold?

My mutt is sitting in front of a gas heater at this very moment. Don't usually turn it on as the heat pump does a good job, but on a cold day like today....it feels pretty good. Twenty nine at this very moment. Temps are normally 57 this time of year, but going to be cold as a well digger's butt this week. Actually had a few snow flurries this morning.
Speaking of mutt, I fried up some bacon this morning and as I was scrambling an egg.....he helped himself to a piece on the kitchen table. He is so tall he doesn't even have to jump up, just reach over and take what he wants. Oh well, he left me a couple of pieces.

Caught Princess on the laptop again. She takes being a lap kitty to heart.

If Princess ever needs a new home, I'll take her. She look looks just like our late tabby named Turbo.

Our shelter kitty, Abby, is the first kitty we've had who is not a heat-seeker. We have had to turn on the heat in freezing FL but we have closed off the bedrooms. She has continued to sleep on her blanket on our bed instead of on her fuzzy pad in the warmer living room. She came out a few minutes ago but that was because she was looking for her nightly freeze-dried chicken treats.
