It's my two cats' 7th birthday today and they are being spoiled. We got them each a new blanket and they spent the whole morning on them. And tonight, we'll give them a few chunks of canned tuna as a treat.

They also have a problem with tape recorders. When I was 14 or 15 I made a tape of myself calling my dog, then waited until he came back inside. When I played the tape back from another room the poor dog never did figure that one out. He'd run to the room with the tape recorder, then come back and look at me (innocently reading a book) and then run back.

I can say though, that that was the meanest thing I ever did to him.

I need to try the winter birds for my cat (in my personal pic.) She sometimes sits right in front of our big tv and watches faces. She jumps up on everything, even on our shoulders from the floor. We've gotten used to unexpectedly having a 7 lb cat land on us from behind. The pest control man, not so much.

After 6 years, we finally decided to put up a Christmas tree again, because all these years we've feared what she would do to it. This is the first year that my husband has been retired and so we thought that at least one of us could keep an eye on her and the tree. She has absolutely NO interest in the tree or the ornaments. This was totally unexpected.

Well, I tried the winter birds on my iPad for my cat. She loved it, but kept looking behind the iPad to see if she could find the birds.
