I'm just a grumpy curmudgeon---but I'm sick of the 'initial' thing. Back in the day, FBI & CIA were OK, but now everything's initials. Jeez---just spell it out--how hard is it! YMMV--LOL

It's just a nickname. My friends must have at least a half-dozen for me, one of which is my first and last initials. I like it, but they don't roll off the tongue as nicely as "JT".

JT was in a community version of A Christmas Carol (true). He played Bob Cratchit.

One more hint of the holidays:

A note was sent out this morning saying that a new CD release is imminent. It said it is his first since 2002's October Road.

That's a long time! I remember receiving that as a gift during a beach trip.

I saw that, too. Ready in June. And to celebrate, my Spotify playlist all morning has been JT, Carole King, and Carly Simon. Yay!

This was such a cool thing he did when he played in Columbia, SC last week: invited the Lowcountry Voices Choir from Charleston to sing with him in honor of Mother Emmanuel. Made me really like him even more for honoring them in that way.
