Lands End / Gatsby house gone

The end of an era for the "Gatsby house" - CBS Sunday Morning - CBS News

A story from today's CBS "Sunday Morning" that I thought was interesting. Times change for sure.

Thanks for posting.
I just read The Great Gatsby for the first time last week.
An interesting read that holds insight into today's society as if it was written yesterday.
Sad to see the big house go.
"So we beat on, boats against the current, born back ceaselessly into the past."

Torn down, after being condemned, for new development. I can just see it now...

Gatsby Townhomes

The Carraway Bungalow
The Buchanan model
The Baker model, directly adjoining the golf course
The Myrtle model, with double sized garage

I think you have hit the nail on the head, M Paquette! And they will have starting prices of $699,000.00 and up even in this depressed real estate market. Sands Point/Great Neck is a highly desirable area.
