Looking for that last bit of diversification?

(I've also posted this at FundAlarm but I don't know how long Roy will let it live...)

From NetSurfer's latest digest of interesting websites--

Fund Your Future Time Travel

Tired of investing in boring old stocks and bonds? Why not put some cash into your future? For a mere $10, you can join a unique investment group, the Time Travel Fund. The concept is simple. You deposit those greenbacks with the fund managers and they buy extremely long-term investments that will earn a ridiculous amount of compound interest. All you have to do is keep your address current on the membership database. Once all time-travel's scientific and social details are worked out in the future, the Time Travel Fund will use your accumulated wealth to pay for someone to go back in time and collect you just before your imminent death. The find will even provide you with any required housing and education in the future so that you're not too time-lagged. The organizers point out that they can't guarantee that the plan will work but, hey - it's a chance and it's fun. It would certainly diversify your investment portfolio.

The book written on, "The Military Guide to Financial Independence and Retirement", on sale now! For more info see "About Me" in my profile.
I don't spend much time here anymore, so please send me a PM. Thanks.

Re: Looking for that last bit of diversification?

Only problem is the first guy that goes back in time screws something up, messes up continuity, and we all suddenly become feathered dinosaurs fighting over the remains of a dead 40lb squirrel. :P

Be fearful when others are greedy, and greedy when others are fearful. Just another form of "buy low, sell high" for those who have trouble with things. This rule is not universal. Do not buy a 1973 Pinto because everyone else is afraid of it.
