Well, it did generate a lot of tax revenue & local employment, to say nothing of the free visitor marketing in the middle of January. I think we're still waiting for the New Jersey & Wisconsin editions of "The Real World" but our HVCB will do backflips for this sort of, uhm, exposure.

As for the rest of it, there's no need to watch it on TV when I can see it in Waikiki and on just about every beach of the island. The MTV stuff is for you guys!

I'm going to have to point my 14-year-old to it this weekend and see what she thinks...

I saw some clips on MTV's web site and thought -- this is nothing like the Maui that I know and love. In today's Maui News: MTV’s ’Maui Fever’ makes some residents sick.

I wonder if it qualified for TV production tax credits. I am guessing that it did. I guess I'll have to watch before slamming but does not MTV stand for Music Television? and how come they don't have music video on the channel anymore.
