WTF! Every time I go on vacation someone leaves in a huff and I never know why.

There are going to be buttholes on any internet forum, but this one has enough fun and intelligent people to make ignoring the jerks worth the trouble.

We'll miss you CFB...

This is precisely why I hide behind my mindless/ditzy persona on the internet. I've made it a rule to never partake in internet forum flame fests, no matter how much I'm baited.

You need to be logged in to see the pic. CFB used it as his avatar for months.

Yeah, well, consider this: with his proxy-surfing skills, how do we know that he's not already back?

Every "new" poster since 4 Aug is automatically a CFB-in-disguise candidate. Probably several of them at once...

Think of Maximillion schemes... I think we will know it is CFB if 2 new posters started to agree on the benefits of a particular exotic cheese as an investment ...

Come to think of it....maybe inviting back Max would get CFB reinvigorated*

Re: Maybe this will tempt CFB back to the forum

There are some sarcastic and nasty debates on this forum occasionally, sometimes they include the moderators, and there is some political bias here ... like all forums.* But that is the nature of the 'net, and we're all free to come and go.

The value of specific forums also tends to diminish over time, for the individual, so we move elsewhere to learn.

CFB was an excellent contributor.

I hold out hope. But everyone needs a break, I think he knows he's always welcome back.

If he were still around you know he would be all over this:

Dell Recalls Laptops Due to Battery Fires

Of course he would say the problem was really the dammed damned AMD chips....

I suspect that he is enjoying this attention, as he is still lurking out there. To be frank, I don't remember seeing anything that would pissed him off. I thought he would be more thick skinned. I also agree that TH has been an extremely knowledgable and helpful contributor and I would miss him.

About a year or so ago he took off for a while also. Maybe he just needs a little rest and that's OK. Hopefully he'll be back soon.
