Memorial Day

I find it interesting that we have a holiday for the living and one for the casualties. Does any other country do that? Not a rhetorical question, I just don't know.

Not federal holidays but the UK has 1 day for each. Armed Forces Day is for the living with lots of events around the country. Where we are there will be a fly past of a Lancaster bomber flanked by a Spitfire and a Hurricane from the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight

November 11th is Remembrance Day for those service folks that have died in the wars and on the Sunday closest to it there are many church services at war memorials including a countrywide minute of silence at 11am.
