Milestone?

Hey folks...this is post number 4901. I will expect an appropriate
outpouring of adulation and kudos when I hit 5000. This should
take place in the next week or so. If not, the celebration will need to be
delayed as I will be "away" from about 6-13 until about 6-20.
I know you will all miss me, but this will give TH/Grand Banks a chance to close
the gap

Happy trails.................

JG

As you know all glory is fleeting.
Scuttlebutt is that at 5000 the counter resets to zero.

Only if we can expect a return to quality instead of the short-sighted emphasis on quantity at max speed...

Well thanks Dreamer, but I'm not leaving for a week or so. I just wanted
th to know he's getting some time with no competition in posting volume.

If anyone cares (or even if you don't) Detroit, 2 days...........Northern
Wisconsin, 4 days..........Nebraska, 3 days and then back here with
stories and anecdotes aplenty.

Re: Milestone?

I'll be back in northern Wisconsin in a couple of weeks. Chequamegon National Forest. I'll warn you, if you plan to be in the woods the ticks are bad, bad, bad. We were there a week ago for a few days. I had three attached woodticks and one little little deer tick. And this is after deet. I am still watching for adverse reactions. Dogs had both wood ticks and deer ticks.

Watch out for Lime disease. My cousin had it and it is not fun. She was sick for months.

Re: Milestone?

Hmmm... I never felt there was any beneficial competition in simple volume.

If I did, I'd use that technique of ponderously posting 3-7 times in series.

As it is, if post count matters, which it doesnt...come on, 75% of mine are worthless anecdotes and bad one liners...I'll catch you in 4 months without the multiple self replies.
